A regular on the sport field, Lauren found herself caught up in the crazy world of filmmaking when she was roped in to the pre-production of Sex with Mr. Collins in early 2003. This involvement continued (sometimes to her dismay) in most of the behind the scenes aspects from painting of props, right through to the advertising campaign. This would become the theme for Lauren, who became a regular feature in the credits of subsequent BOTU productions.
Whilst not directly involved in the production of Dribbly Meow Meow, Lauren’s proximity during two months of work by Daniel resulted in the testing of her sanity. Efforts to lipsynch animation with the recorded dialogue by continuous playback resulted in the Dribbly Meow Meow script being forever burned in to her psyche (giving her the ability to recite most of the script to this day). An advertising campaign for Dribbly aiming to eclipse SWMC's saw Lauren organising T-Shirts, painting banners, putting up posters in the dead of night, and invading the odd lecture theatre.
2005 saw a return to live action films for the crew, and Lauren resumed her behind the scenes roles. Lauren was involved with the Costumes, make up and props for both The Salem Witch Trials and Unquarried Landmass, as well as being general taxi driver for cast & crew.
To say Lauren’s roles over the course of the years have been varied would be an understatement with catering, editing, script work, lighting and boom operation being just the tip of the iceberg. While much of this work is off camera, as a gofer (go for everything), she has made brief appearances in 2007's Eye of the Beholder and 2009's Gentleman’s Guide to Orientation.
When she isn't being pressed in to yet another unusual task by the ever demanding Daniel, Lauren enjoys reading, participating in an incalculable number of sports teams and spending time with her family.
