Get Rich or Roll the DIe Trying is a fast paced and entertaining documentary focusing on SouthCon 2006, a Miniature wargaming tournament held in Dunedin on Queens' Brithday Weekend. Organised by the Otago Miniature Tactician's Society, this annual event hosts competitions in tabletop games such as Warhammer Fantasy, Warhammer 40,000, and Flames of War.

Our cameras enter the world of the miniature wargamer to discover what makes them, and the tournament tick. We learn just how much time is put into painting a tournament army and just how expensive their hobby is. Throw some of the more lighthearted elements of the tournament into the mix, coupled with interviews, timelapse, and footage from the event and you have our first foray into the documentary genre.
