Night of the Stars 2006

Every good Film Festival needs an awards ceremony, and the Mothras are no different. Night of the Stars - which the organisers describe as ‘like the Oscars but actually funny’ - was a great night for Bus of the Undead Films. While the ceremony kicked off at 8pm, the Bus of the Undead crew got the ball rolling at BOTU head quarters by 4pm. With pretty much everyone who had been involved over the year attending it was a good chance to catch up and discuss our efforts. Plenty of drinks, some good food and a whole lot of swearing seemed to be the theme that would carry throughout the night with Daniel being on extraordinary form.

The ceremony itself was pretty good, largely thanks to the lack of ‘funny’ clips usually present at the night. Short, sweet and to the point. Thank goodness for technical difficulties. It was a large turnout with most of the films represented. Set out in a cabaret style arrangement, there was plenty of drinking and talking going on between tables.

Our Night of the Stars haul was substantial this year, with the various Bus of the Undead projects racking up twelve nominations and a total of four award statues.
